I have over a decade of experience in SaaS enterprise software design, user experience analysis and research. I am proficient in UX research methodology and UI prototyping using a variety of software tools, as well as collaborating with shareholders, product teams, developers, and users.

Some of my direct project examples cannot be shared due to NDA. I may have limited, masked, or removed any identifying, non-public, or sensitive information. Please contact me if you wish to discuss my work in more detail.

My Work

Enterprise Software

Public-Facing Space Reservation Portal

I was the lead product designer, researcher, and UX contact for the development of a public-facing web portal that allows requesting meeting rooms and event space for campuses, offices, and other venues. To this date, it’s one of the most complex and ongoing projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on, as it serves several different markets, event types, and users on a daily basis.

Enterprise SaaS Redesign

In my enterprise software career, I have had the opportunity to assist in redesigning a decades-old legacy application based on user feedback and data-driven analysis. This was a chance to try new things and innovate on the old. The application services the events industry as a whole, catering to a wide range of markets such as event coordinators, convention centers, corporate, higher education, and performing arts.

Calendar Windows and Applications

I was a primary UX consultant and wireframe prototype designer for a range of space/room calendars for the events industry. In the company I worked for, clients needed more than one kind of calendar display, including a mobile format, to see what, when, and where events and activities were happening at their facilities. This included adding new bookings.

Floor Plans and Room Diagrams

I’ve collaborated with product teams, whiteboarded, and prototyped interactive floor plan and room diagram applications. Users in a larger enterprise system needed a way to lay out rooms and show floors for all sizes of events, whether it was an entire building and expo hall, or just a simple banquet room layout.

Just for Fun

Side Projects

I participated in the month-long, daily design prompts known as “Figbruary” to challenge myself, learn new skills, and advance in my design career. Sometimes the result was artistic expression and not UI design related. The prompts were broad guidelines, and included everything from UI prototyping to animation and art. Research

Research Paper on Haptic Feedback and Affect on Game Immersion

As part of my masters thesis work, I conducted a small-scale user experience study about how vibration in video game controllers changes or contributes to user immersion within the game being played. While it’s been some time, I’m still proud of this, and believe it could be expanded upon. My advisor at the time recommended I get it published. It’s available here for you to review.

Usability Testing Documentation - Registration

This is a second usability test results report for a past project. It involves users registering for events through a web portal, and contains test results alongside recommendations for analysis and improvement.
