Figbruary 2025

Continuing the trend from the previous year, I tried something new in Figma based on daily Figbruary 2025 prompts. I timeboxed myself so I wouldn’t spend too long per task. I viewed the prompts as an opportunity for growth and practice. Below are some of my favorites from the month...

Save Icon “Only Wrong Answers”

Prompt was to make a custom save icon in Figma that is non conventional or generally wrong. So I went with a save-directly-to-brain icon.

Minimal Music Player

Prompt was to create a minimal media player with interactivity.

Radial Menu

Challenge was to create a radial menu for a game or app.

B&W Punk Flyer

Tasked to create a grungy DIY feeling B&W punk flyer for a fictional band called “The FIGMOS”. Had a lot of fun with this one.

Flip Card Animation

Interactive card that flips on hover or click to reveal content.

Clock Widget

Any clock widget, but with the parameters of making it slightly futuristic or sci-fi looking. I went with a cyberpunk feel with some glowy blues and a glass effect.

Pixel Art 8x8

Anything we wanted as long as it was an 8x8 pixel grid. I made my cactus in the windowsill. Used a few Figma tricks with line rotations and half-pixel sizes.

Microinteraction Animated Icon

A microinteraction triggered icon animation. Made a simple upvote/downvote interaction that shrinks when pressed and pops when selected.

Note Icon

Prompted to create any sort of skeuomorphic note icon. Made a version with and without a button-like background.
